Exciting Elder News

Thursday, December 6th, 2007

Dear ROCC Family,

The ROCC Elders are very excited to announce to the church body that Tim Morgan has been re-instated as an active Elder.  Tim had taken some time off this past year and feels very strongly that God wants him back on the board during this special time in the history of ROCC.  Tim has great talents and skills, and all the Elders at ROCC are very pleased to have Tim back on the Elder Board.  Welcome back Tim!

A New Wind Blowing!

Thursday, November 8th, 2007

There is a new wind blowing at ROCC these days and it’s coming in like a hurricane. That’s right, ROCC has a new fresh spirit blowing in from Colorado this January and it’s in the person of David Peacock. ROCC has a new Lead Pastor and the wind is blowing already with a fresh excitement, a refreshed vision and a refreshing voice to the Murfreesboro community. Hang on because there is to be a revival at ROCC and I can’t wait to see what blows in to the church as the Spirit of God comes with a rush and a purpose. I hope each of you are ready for a ride. The adventure is about to begin. I know the Elders are really pumped up with excitement. I hope between now and January that we as the body of ROCC prepare ourselves in prayer and anticipation to take the next step forward in our walk with Christ. I also hope that all members and regulars that are not yet members will seek to find their role to play in the future of our dynamic church and in the eternal future of the people of our community.

I am also proud to announce that Sid Woodruff will be our new Interim Pastor for the next two months. Sid has a huge background in church work and I am very excited that he has agreed to come to ROCC and be part of our family. Sid will begin this weekend. I also want to let everyone know that if you wish to become a member of ROCC we will be providing an opportunity very soon for you to do so. Many of you have expressed a desire to become members and we want to facilitate that wish as best we can. I also want to say a big “Thank You” to all of you in the church that have stepped up and provided leadership and inspiration to all of us. You are my “HEROES” and I cannot express how much you mean to me. I believe God has been working overtime with some of you and it shows to all of us. Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

David Peacock comes to visit.

From Joe Thompson

I am excited to announce today that David Peacock has accepted our invitation to speak to the ROCC body regarding our Lead Pastor Position that has been open since August of 2006. Mr. Peacock will be available to meet the church body during the weekend of November 3rd and 4th. We will have a meet and greet opportunity for the church to get to know this man of God and he will speak to the church on Sunday November 4th. The church will then vote on Mr. Peacock as our next Lead Pastor.
The church is encouraged to visit Mr. Peacock’s web site at Solomon’s Porch in Broomfield, Colorado to hear his sermons and help you make up your mind regarding this important decision that the ROCC body will make. Remember that Mr. Peacock will be called as you next Pastor with a 75% affirmative vote from the church membership.

Following the November 4th service ROCC members will
vote on calling David Peacock as the Lead Pastor.
